White Wines

Chardonnay:

Chardonnay is one of the most popular white varietal and grows just about everywhere in the modern wine world.  A well-made Chardonnay should contain flavors of apples and citrus.  It can be anywhere from light and crisp when grown in a cooler climate, to rich in tropical fruit notes, like pineapple or mango, when grown in a warmer climate.  When Chardonnay is oak-aged the wine can take on vanilla and buttered-toast flavors.  We carry both “oaked” and “unoaked” Chardonnays all from California that range in price from $11-$47.

Sauvignon Blanc:

Sauvignon Blanc is not as widely known as Chardonnay but it is growing in popularity around the world.  At its best, Sauvignon Blanc exhibits high acidity, with flavors and aromas of green apples, green grapes, green herbs and sometimes green bell pepper.  California Sauvignon Blancs tend to have a refreshing, straightforward, often, fruity flavor and are just the thing for lighter, simpler, spicier foods.  We carry to two Sauvignon Blancs in the mid-twenty range.

Pinot Gris/Pinot Grigio:

Pinot Gris (also known as Pinot Grigio) is a variant of the Pinot Noir grape.  Depending on their origins, wines made from Pinot Gris can be light to medium-bodied and refreshing or medium to full-bodied with more emphatic flavor.  At their best, wines are complex, luscious, and full-bodied, with mineral- and fruit-fruit driven flavors.  We offer selections from California and Oregon that range from $15-27.

We also carry Viognier, Reisling, Moscato and White Blend wines.
